AUSTRALIAN TITLE Again just 1 week after the Tasmanian Titles,it was time for the Australian Title. What a great weekend it was for our club members ,some that have done the both titles and some that have just traveled down for the Australian Title It started out with practice on Friday with all drivers getting some track time . Saturday started out a bit overcast and the forecast was for rain developing and also rain again on Sunday which was our rain day. We started by getting a full round of heats in,then the rain started ,it rained for about an hour ,then when it stopped the Tasmania Kart club decided to grade of the wet clay and try and run the event We got another round of heats in and the the club decided with no more time and little chance of running on the Sunday to go ahead with the finals. They all went through very well with all the classes having some unbelievable racing.
The juniors was great to watch Dylan Goodger had some bad luck and started mid pack then lost it in the mud on the outside of the track Adian Corish started out of position 4 and drove his butt of to get into second place and putting it the the final winner Jory Beikorf. well done Adian on your 2nd in Australia
We didnt have any standards in the final but it was great to watch some good driving by all with Bob Latta winning and Mark Lyons coming in 3rd
The Modified Karts we had Nev Britton and Ray Goodger running but due to only 2 heats Ray did not make the A main. Nev went on to run a hard fort battle with Bob Latta in one of the best races of the day with Nev finishing 2nd by about 2 feet,great work Nev
The Outlaws had a fantastic results Brandon Corish and Iain Roxburgh were unable to finish the final,but Glen Corish and Jadan Roxburgh drove so well that they cleared out by more than half a lap on the rest of the field,finishing 1st and 2nd respectively . Well done Glen Corish the current Aus 1 in the Outlaws and well done to Jadan Roxburgh ,Nev Britton and Adian Corish for ther 2nd place finishes in the Aus Title,and well done to all our club members who traveled and have learnt so much in there Travels. TASMANIAN TITLE Well done to all those that traveled to the title ,it sounded like a bit of a crash fest but to those who raced for our club did very well Well done to Aidan Corish who raced great to finish 2nd in the final, good drive Nev Britton again drove super smooth to finish 2nd well done Nev, Glen Corish and Brandon Corish Finish 1st and 2nd respectively in the final of the outlaws Again a wonderful titles for our drivers,well done to all those that competed. QUEENSLAND TITLES the queensland title was a little disapointing for the south coast speedway kart club but on the overall it was stiil a great event with Glen Corish demolishing the rest of the the outlaws to take yet another title ,great drive glen and also aidan corish had a fan fantastic title winning the junoirs in a very close race ,well done Nev Britton and Jadan Roxburgh ended up in hospital both were let out jadan had suspected neck injuries and nev popped his shoulder out Iain Roxburgh and Brandon Corish both had problems and could not compete in the final well done again to everyone for traveling and better luck next time VICTORIAN TITLES Hi everyone sorry for the delay but we have been doing so much traveling over the past month or so with all the title meets ,and have been very busy at work as well. Anyway i will start with the Victorian Titles held at Wodonga on the 6 th March It was a great day of racing after alot of rain the night before ,i did not think it would be run ,but the sun came out and the racing was fierce,with Aidan Corish having some battles with the rest of the field Standard Class was some of the closest racing With club driver Steve Robertson coming 2nd to Bob Latta who drove so well Modified class was so good to watch with Nev Britton leading all the way untill the last corner when Bob Latta just got past to take the win well done Nev The Outlaws were amazing,brandon corish was involved in a crash and was out for the rest of the title,Jadan Roxburgh was driving so fast winning 3 out of 4 heats glen corish and iain roxburgh drove very consistently with glen winning the other heat and Steve Robertson was there pushing hard all day.The final was well fought and some great racing with jadan roxburgh leading all the way untill the last lap were he locked up a big end which caused iain roxburgh to crash into the wall ,the race was called giving glen corish the win and iain roxburgh 2nd kieran towan 3rd and steve robertson 4th Bad luck to jadan but well done to all the drivers that took part it was a great title meeting
NSW STATE TITLES The South Coast Speedway Kart Club has just successfully run another State Titles The Title was held at Surfair Speedway at Moruya with a great turn up of local drivers and a very strong interstate field with competitors coming for Queensland and Victoria. The Juniors had a small field but there driving was top class,Aiden Corish and Dylan Goodger fought hard all day with the heats swapping places between the two .very impressive for Aiden as it is his first season and he is sticking it to the top runners,Jack King drove well threatening for the lead in the final but had vision problems which hindered his race Results for the juniors are as follows 1st Dylan Goodger 14 2nd Aiden Corish 50 3rd Jack King 4 Jack King Aiden Corish Dylan Goodger The Standard Class was an extremely well fought class and one of the strongest fields at the titles. The first heat was a bit of a crash fest with Victorian driver John Shipham flying through the air in a huge crash,John did not continue racing with a badly bruised leg . Our local drivers Robo,Phil,Terry,Mark,Geoff,Ian,Kerrie,Les and Darren were having some great battles but the Victorians ended up with a clean sweep in the final with Bob,Mark and Gareth driving excellently Results for the Standard Class are as follows 1st Bob Latta 33 2nd Mark Lyons 110 3rd Gareth Tyson 56
Gareth Tyson Mark Lyons Bob Latta The Modified Speedway Karts was another round of great racing,The Queenslanders were putting on quiet a show with there drivers Paul Ledgerwood and Anthony Harrison. Bob Allen drove well in his lightning quick standard up against the modifieds and Brad King had some bad luck in the heats but was running right up there in the final until problems put him out . Local Ray Goodger was in a 2nd heat crash which ended his night and our club president Nev Britton drove his socks off to take victory in the final The results for the Modified Speedway Karts are as follows 1st Nev Britton 2 2nd Paul Ledgerwood 51 3rd Bob Latta 33
The Outlaw Class was a treat to watch,it is the fastest class and with two 16 year old boys coming 1st and 3rd taking on some of the best drivers in the country was truly great to see. Local driver Jadan Roxburgh had a excellent day winning 2 of the 4 heats and then clearing out in the final by nearly half a lap,Brandon Corish won a heat race and went on to finish 3rd in the final with Steve Roberston finding some extra speed to finish 2nd in the final. It was super clean racing with no incidents and no rubbing ,probably the cleanest racing i have seen The results for the Outlaw Class is as follows 1st Jadan Roxburgh 58 2nd Steve Robertson 23 3rd Brandon Corish 6 Well done to all those that made for a great day of great racing also a very big thanks to Nev & Di Britton who have put so much time and effort in to the club and the sport of speedway THANKS
EAST COAST GRAND NATIONAL SERIES We Have Finally run the last round of the 4 round series and what a great event it was with only a couple of points separating the class winners All 4 round held at the 4 different tracks and was a terrific success .here are the results...... Hi everyone ' The season has been going through so quickly that i cant believe it is almost Christmas Racing has been the best racing i have seen in the club since the club started,well done everyone The info pack for the NSW Titles has just been released from Nev & Di i will try to put a link so you can print the entries out from this site Hi everyone, We are already 3 rounds into our season with the first round of the East Coast Grand National Series all ready run, and what great racing it has been, The junior racing is fantastic,the standards is the best racing i have seen in years,the opens are at each others throats,and the outlaws have really picked up the pace and are unbelievable quick. In the last round at Surfair Speedway we had an unfortunate crash in the outlaws with Brandon Corish braking his anke,he is on the mend and the Whiteheads put a Caption Competition up for all the members to put a caption thought of what Brandon was thinking while he was upside down in the middle of his crash,we are pleased to announce that Trudi Roxburgh won the comp,but all members put in some great captions. here is a pic of Trudi with the trophy made by the Whiteheads and some of the captions below The winning caption was "oh what a feeling,,,,PARILLA!"

QUEENSLAND TITLES GATTON 16 May 09 hi everyone just an update on the Qld Titles,7 South Coast Club members headed up for the titles at Gatton ,Nev & Di Britton,Iain & Jadan Roxburgh,Ray & Dylan Goodger and Graham Keats. In the juniors Jadan and Dylan drove extremely well with Jadan finishing in 2nd place making a great comeback after hitting the wall in the australian titles 3 week prior, with Dylan finishing in 4th place.well done to the juniors.
Defending Q1 Nev had a great run to the final but unfortunately spun the small sprocket on the engine and did not get to start,Ray and Iain drove well learning more every time they race with Ray finishing 4th and Iain finishing in 6th place. Also Graham Keats drove in 2 classes driving well in the open modified and in the outlaw class out drove all the other competitors to win the outlaws,well done Keatsy
AUSTRALIAN TITLES GATTON 23 & 24 April 09 Hi all sorry about the delay but we have been very busy of late,but we are back and had a great 3 days of racing. All our members had a great weekend with some ups and downs,but the end result was great Our Junior drivers Dylan Goodger & Jadan Roxburgh had an up and down weekend Jadan had some great practice rounds and started heat 1 with confidence but on an overtaking move hit the wall and went to hospital for a ckeck up,his Kart was a right off.we changed frames and he wanted to drive in the final and drove bravely to finish in 10th place. Well done Jadan. Dylan had a fantastic run finishing well up in all his heats and starting out of position 2 in the final,Dylan was driving well holding position 2 but after a restart had some engine troubles and finished in 7th place. a great drive. Then came the open classes ,there is open heavy and open light ,Ray Goodger was in open lights and started out in heat 1 with a come from behind win what a great drive,all the other heats were well fort and with some great driving Ray started out of position 5 in the final.The track went fairly one lane but to Rays credit finished 5th in a hard run final.well done Ray. Then there was the open Heavy with Nev Britton going to try for one place better and cme home with Assie 1 , the racing was amazing with nev and Graham Keats another south coast club member were hard at it with Keatsy Winning the final and nev finishing second for the second time ,fantastic racing with aone lane track,Iain Roxburgh had a good night starting out of position 7 in the final and coming through to finish 5th ,well done to all our drivers. Finally it was the outlaw class with our south coast club members Gavin Wesble and Graham Keats running for the title,the race was amazing with the positions changing all the time ,what a race with Gavin Wesble winning the Australia Title in the Outlaw Class,well done Gav Here are some pics of the presentation

NEW SOUTH WALES TITLES 17/1/9 The South Coast Speedway Kart Club in association with Sapphire Speedway was proud to run such a successful event.All that attended had a great days racing.Firstly i would like to thank all those involved with the running of the Titles all the quad drivers,lap scorers,starting officials and all the help from Sapphire Speedway.with out their help the event would not be able to run.
The Juniors had a great Meeting with all our club drivers doing extremley well,Jim Brenner and Kerrie southwell both drove great,The Title was taken out by club member Dylan Goodger 1st and another club member Jadan Roxburgh coming in 3rd.Queenslander Anthony Harrison had a good drive coming 2nd on the day.well done to all the Junior Drivers
The KT Standard Class was a well fort race NSW drivers up against some of the best from Victoria,one driver being Rob Latta Victoria no 1,our club drivers Geoff Pearce,Ian Riley,Terry Shipley and Phillip Southwell all had great drives and a great day.One other club member Steve Roberson Did extremley well finishing in 2nd place well done Guys.Final results were Rob Latta 1st,Steve Robertson 2nd,John Shipham 3rd. Heres a pic of robo The Open Modified Class was the biggest field at the titles with everyone hotly contesting the title,with top drivers from Tasmania,Victoria,Queensland and of course NSW,all our club members drove very well,some having engine trouble but on the overall every had a great day .Club members Ray Goodger and Nev Britton tryed hard to keep out Queenslander Paul Ledgerwood but Ledgy got the Title With Ray Goodger 2nd and Nev Britton 3rd .well done guys
The Outlaw Class Hotly contested with all blue ribbon drivers ,current australia no 1, past australia no1's what a race with Graham Keats and Gavin Wesble trying to take the gold off queenslander no1 and australia no 1 John Aurisch.what a great race with club member Gavin Wesble taking the honours and hot on his tail and runing out of laps was John Aurisch 2nd with another club member Steve Robertson 3rd .what a great race. If you need forms or any information for this TITLE MEETING please contact Nev Britton on 4456 4611 Hi Everyone 13/12/08 We finally got to have our first run at nowra speedway and what a night it was,with 17 Karts lining up for the start of each race . i would like to take this chance to thank the quad drivers who had to push start 17 karts as quick as they could ,well done guys. we had a great field of outlaws 7 in total and the all ran extremly quick at the clay track ,I think they were in the 16 seconds a lap,not bad and not for the faint hearted. The track was perfect in the first race and did brake up a bit as the night went on but it was still a great racing track,well done to all those how raced

We had a really good night at Sapphire Speedway with large numbers and some great racing. We also had a visitor from victoria Mark Kofocinski had done the long trip to find Sapphire speedway a real racey track when i spoke to mark he told me he had a ball,although visability in the last race was a bit suspect,or should i say no existent. With the nsw titles coming up at sapphire very soon it was good to have a good run

three drivers had a practice night at nowra speedway,the night was run just like a race meeting with 3 heats and a final. Ray Goodger and Iain Roxburgh were there with new comer Gary Butler driving his go kart for the first time.so i will take this opportunity to welcome Gary to the south coast speedway karting club,Gary found it a little tricky at first but improved rapidly as the night went on. The track was the best i have ever driven on and stayed that way all night,if thats what the track will be like through the season we will be in for some great racing,by the way our lap times for the kt open were 17.1 super quick laps

We had an invatation from Capital City Speedway to try out there new track.Three drivers headed over to Canberra to try out the track,Steve Robertson,Geof Pierce and Iain Roxburgh drove in 3 heats and a final but were actually over there to have fun and that we did. The track was a little rough but after talking to the promoter Steve,he said that this was the worse the track had been ,so if that was the case we thought it would be great to have another track to race at,so we my be able to put a couple of there events on our callender. we are looking forward to having a run at Canberra. Hi everyone,1/10/08 We had some of our drivers travel to Mildura to race on the weekend Ray & Dylan Goodger and Iain & Jadan Roxburgh. What a great start to the season with a good size feild and some travelers from Queensland Everyone drove well on the night with new comer Andrew Corish Racing for the first time in karts drove well ,and really found some pace in the 3rd round finishing in 3rd place,well done Andrew. Well done to John & Dez From Qld,they both found the track a bit tuff at first but as the night went on really found same pace and pushed all the drivers to there limits.well done guy. The juniors had some good racing with Jadan winning a couple of rounds and Kerrie winning round 3.well done to are juniors. All the results will be post on current resuults. well done and what a great start to our season
